Title 1 information

CS Families,

Title One is a federally funded program that identifies students most in need of additional reading or math assistance. We work with students to provide additional intervention help in a core subject, set goals, and monitor progress.

Lauren MacVicar is our C-S literacy coach and serves as the coordinator that trains our paraprofessionals, works with classroom teachers, along with monitoring data to make sure students are placed in appropriate intervention groups. She uses specific goal data to determine which intervention is appropriate for your student and continues to monitor progress to assist in any necessary intervention change.

Some of the Title 1 intervention programs and materials C-S EL utilizes are:

Our program annually hosts a parent informational evening where Ms. MacVicar provides training and resources to engage students and parents at home.  Invitations to this evening event are sent to families who qualify by having a student that receives targeted, tiered interventions to meet grade level benchmarks. This allows for specific and targeted supports/training to be provided.

We are providing a copy of the presentation to all K-5 families from this Title 1 Parent Night so that you all have access to information that will support your work at home with your student(s).

As always, if you have any additional questions please reach out to your classroom teacher, or Ms. MacVicar to discuss how we can best partner with you to support the growth and development of your child(ren)!
